Dear Friends,
For those with Whatsapp, there are four
groups that are being used for the Venezuelan crisis.
Venezuela Relief, administrator TT oldboys, used for food
relief shipped to Guiria by boat.
Mis Panas, administrator Arturo Zavarce, Caracas,
Latest day by day of the Struggle for freedom, it is a mixture of oldboys and
correspondents all over the country.
Abbey Boys, administrator Salvador Coscarart, Houston,
is used to capture oldboys that would like to communicate with each other and
used to help send food to Venezuelan oldboys in need..
MSB lunch deferred, I am the administrator, I have all those
living in Venezuela and with Whatsapp. Lately no lunch has been scheduled due
to the problems that all you know.

Hi Kazim
How time consuming
would it be to create such a distribution list?
Would it be value
adding to the 3 principal means of communication that we seem to have today:
FB, Circulars and in the last few months some are starting to use
WhatsAP.
As an example a
person can share memories such as the Gregorian hymns we heard and sang at the
Mount pre-Vatican II.
Just a thought.

Hi, George,
I have an email
distribution list that I use about once a month to remind everyone that the
latest Circulars are up.
I don’t put the
addresses en claire as many of us do not appreciate the exposure to spamming.
I have had bad luck
with the Venezuelan and Trinidadian addresses, as most of them reject emails
from me.
I suspect their
servers identify me as sending spam.
I have all the email
addresses in a Word document, and attach it for your convenience.

a distribution list?

Well, an email list
serves different purposes.
For instance, not
everyone uses Facebook or even Whatsapp.
So the email list is
something still in use today.
What we need to do
is to refine the list bit by bit to get all working emails of our 'Boys'.
Something that will take time.
I will work on the
list that Don sent and reference it with the MSB Database.
Just bear in mind
this is a very tedious and long project.
Wish we had others
on board to do this as I am involved in other projects.

Hello Ladislao,
At last I'm online
again!
As I had let you
know some months ago it had been our intention to move to Spain for good and
we'd bought an apartment in the vicinity of Valencia more than 6 years ago.
Now, thank God, we
are finally here and enjoying fully the benefits of this subtropical climate
which cannot be compared to the weather of central Europe.
I am actually in a
kind of a "pre-retirement" stage and will retire officially in May
2004 when I'll be 65 years old.
Right now, my wife
and I are pretty busy with all the changes we want to realise in the apartment,
but in a month or two we should have most of these things done and then I’ll
have more time to engage in more frequent communication with you and the
"Mount boys".
As far as personal
achievements go, I can brag about the fact that in August I've also become
grandfather as my daughter Christine bore a son!
